General installation notes
Safety instructions
•
Compliance with all rules and in-
structions of all documentation,
labels, type plates, and
associated documents of the unit
Is mandatory.
Transport
•
Care and due diligence are re-
quired during transport, setup,
preparation, or when handling
heavy materials that may dam-
age the heat pump.
•
The heat pump is affixed to a
pallet at the factory for transport
protected against damage with a
cardboard cover. Do not remove
the packaging until the heat
pump is positioned at
its final location.
Set-up
•
The set-up must be carried out
carefully and accurately.
•
The AEROTOP G heat pump
must be installed on an ade-
quately load-bearing base (e.g.
20 cm thick lean concrete pedes-
tal). Make sure that the base is
capable of bearing loads. At loca-
tions with heavy snowfall (snow
depths >30 cm are
common), a concrete pedestal is
recommended (height=approx.
usual snow depth - 15 cm). The
ground must be clean and free of
dust or other foreign particles.
•
Leave enough room for
accessing the switch components
and for performing checks and
maintenance.
•
Once moved to its final location,
the heat pump must be carefully
unpacked and removed from the
pallet. Protect the heat pump
from impact and forceful distor
tions.
•
The AEROTOP G should be lifted
and transported using only the
designated transport aids
(4 L-sections) at the bottom of
the unit.
•
The AEROTOP G should be set
up on level ground and aligned..
Installation
•
The safety regulations and
schemes/diagrams must be strict
ly observed.
•
The accessories and additional
equipment must be installed by a
trained service technician (heater
installer) as per the enclosed
assembly and installation
instructions.
•
The noise emissions of the
AEROTOP G heat pump are very
low thanks to the soundabsorbing
materials used to mount the mo
bile parts and the insulating clad
ding. The effective noise value
also depends on the size of the
installation room, the noise-
absorbance, or the reflection of
the materials in the room, as well
as the possibility of the noise to
spread and transfer via solid
bodies, among others.
•
Always use flexible connections
for the heat pump so that they
can swing freely, especially when
the compressor or fan starts up.
This is the only way to prevent
structure-borne noise and broken
lines and wires.
Always observe the instructions
for setting up an air-water
heat pump correctly.
•
If a crane is required for
transport, the packaging has to
be removed and the transport
aids (4 L-sections) have to be
attached to the heat pump. Make
sure that ropes, belts, or chains
used for transport or installation
do not damage the heat
pump. Do not allow the heat
pump to swing back and forth
when lifting it up. Never tilt the
heat pump more than 15° from its
vertical axis.
