Unwanted lithium-on battery packs may be returned to the battery manu-

facturer for disposal.

Caring For the VIA!2-8.4

To clean the VIA!2-8.4’s screen, first use a soft dry cloth to remove con-

tamination. If dirt is still present, use a damp cloth that has been squeezed

of excess water. If dirt is still present, spray a non-abrasive very mild or

highly diluted glass cleaning solution on to a damp cloth and re-clean. Do

not spray directly on the panel screen. Use of strong chemicals and/or

some cleaning agents may discolor the polyester film that makes up the

touch screen.
It is important to properly care for your VIA!2-8.4 wireless panel. Follow

these guidelines to ensure your device is preserved and protected.

Avoid scratching the screen by always using the supplied stylus

or a plastic-tipped pen intended for use with touch sensitive

screens.

Do not expose the VIA!2-8.4 to rain, liquids or moisture for an

extended period of time.

Do not expose the VIA!2-8.4 to temperature extremes.

Do not place any objects on top of the VIA!2-8.4 to prevent screen

damage.

Operating Temperatures & Environments

Operating Temperature: 32-104°F (0-40° C)

Humidity: 0-90%

Precautions

Always exercise care when operating and handling the VIA!2-8.4.

Do not apply excessive pressure to the display screen.

ELAN strongly recommends that you do not touch the display

screen directly with your fingers. Oil from your fingertips may be

difficult to remove. Please use the stylus provided.

Avoid exposing the panel screen to direct sunlight or other heat

source. Where possible, the VIA!2-8.4 should be facing away from

direct lighting to reduce glare.

DO NOT use any 12 VDC adapter other than the one provided with

the device or acquired from the manufacturer or its distributors, to

recharge or power the touch panel.
