DANGER!
Irritating fuel components
Irritation or burn hazard
Petrol and petrol vapours can irritate the skin, eyes and airways. This applies
particularly to contact with larger quantities or a longer exposure time.
¨
Avoid inhaling fuel vapours.
¨
Avoid contact with the skin or eyes. For safety, wear gloves and eye
protection.
If you come into contact with fuels:
¨
Wash the affected skin thoroughly.
¨
Rinse out your eyes several times with clear water.
¨
Contact a doctor immediately and follow his/her instructions if you
swallowed fuel.
When operating the genset, use only petrol that meets the following quality requirements:
The petrol is clean, fresh and unleaded.
The octane number of the petrol is at least RON = 91 (researched octane number in
accordance with DIN EN ISO 5164).
The following criteria are fulfilled when biofuels are added:
– Ethanol: The proportion is max. 10% vol (E10).
– Methanol: The proportion is max. 5% vol.
The petrol also contains cosolvents and corrosions inhibitors.
ATTENTION!
Higher proportions of biofuels can impair the starting and performance
behaviour of the genset and cause damage to metal, rubber and plastic parts
of the fuel system.
¨
Do not use petrol with a higher proportion of ethanol or methanol than
the maximum values stated here.
Not following these instructions renders any warranty claims void.
ATTENTION!
Operation in high-altitude regions:
For operation at altitudes exceeding 1200 m above sea level, the carburettor
must be adjusted so that the engine can provide the required power without
increasing the fuel consumption and emissions.
At altitudes exceeding 1200 m, petrol with a lower octane number (minimum
ROZ = 89) can be used with the corresponding adjustment.
¨
Contact your specialist dealer or customer service for information about
the required adjustment, see
“8.3 Customer Service” on page 116
¨
If a genset has been adjusted in this way, do not use it again at altitudes
below 1200 m above sea level until it has been readjusted.
