Use of the dehider knife

The dehider knife complies with the relevant safety
provisions.
Operating personnel are assumed to have an
adequate knowledge of work with the dehider knife.
Training can be given by our specialist personnel.
Keep the connection hose away from heat, sharp
edges or moving machine parts. Damaged hoses or
hoses which have been cut off but are still under
pressure will effect sudden uncontrolled movements
and may cause serious personal injury and material
damage.
Before starting work and after every interruption,
check the machine blade for damage.
Do not use broken and bent blades.
Make sure that the blade is firmly seated! When
pushing the blade into the blade holder you must feel
it notch home.
Always make sure that you are standing on a secure
surface and holding the machine firmly and securely
as reaction forces or knife breakage may cause
sudden jerking movements with resulting injuries.
The operating pressure must not exceed 8 bars!
Conduct at the workplace
Keep your workplace clean!
Beware of the risk of sudden movements of the
compressed air hose!
Concentrate on your work and keep other persons
away from your own working space!
Keep your tools securely and look after them
carefully!
Store unused machines in a dry place.
Repairs may only be performed by specialist
personnel.
Connection and commissioning
Caution!
Only co nnect th e mach ine to th e
compressed air n etwork with th e
blade in po sition a nd t he valve
switched off.
Before connecting the machine, please check the
following points:
•
Tighten the fixing screws on the blade holder
before using the machine for the first time to a
torque value of 2-2.5 mm and check this value
from time to time.
•
Use only clean and lightly oiled compressed air.
The oil which is mixed in must be of low viscosity,
resin-free and approved for use in contact with
foods. Order number 001 365 612
•
The operating pressure and air volume must be
taken from the list (see page 1) and respected.
Only operate the dehider knife with clean, dry air. For
this purpose, connect the machine to a maintenance
unit with a water separator, pressure regulator and oil
mist applicator.
•
Connect the dehider knife with the hose unit (a)
and single-hand coupling (b) to the maintenance
unit (c1 - c3) (see fig. 1).
•
Mount the maintenance unit (c1 - c3) in the
following sequence: water separator (c1) –
pressure regulator (c2) – oil mist applicator (c3).
•
Adjust the maintenance unit so that one drop of oil
is mixed with the air at 3-5 minute intervals.
