Notes
1. The “Fire Floor and Floor Above” indicating appliance circuits will
be set with a priority of 55 from the zone responses of all initiating
devices.
2. Subsequent alarms will set their respective “Fire Floor and Floor
Above” indicating appliances.
3. If the start contacts on the FCCA is not reset the RAMM will play
continuous.
4. Set FCCA for Mode 1 Boston Code (SW1-7 on and/or SW2-7 on).
5. The standard Boston Code message may vary in length, you must
adjust the “T”- time accordingly.
6. There is a 10 second silence period after the activation of 4101 and
4116.
25 Volt Audio System Tuning Procedure
In order to obtain good clarity in the installed audio system, the
amplifiers and pre-amp signals must be tuned. These components DO
NOT have the proper settings for all applications from the factory.
Recommended Equipment
Oscilloscope - The FLUKE 97 Digital Storage Scope is recommended.
This unit is portable and may be used for ZAS line troubleshooting.
Digital Multi Meter - Your choice.
Tone Generator - Battery operated. Can produce a 1 kHz tone @ 1
VRMS.
Amplified Speaker - Realistic model 32-2040 portable amplified
speaker. This unit accepts a 1 VRMS signal input and has a volume
and tone adjustments. Used for tracing pre-amp riser problems.
Speaker - 25 or 70 volt speaker with clip leads for monitoring audio at
amplifier output.
Procedure
After installing the audio system in accordance with all technical
reference material and checking all field wiring for grounds, shorts or
any type of wire disarrangement, the following tuning procedures may
be performed.
1. Set the FCCA/ACP for 1 kHz steady output by setting dip switch
SW1-2/SW2-2 on. Activate the tone for the desired channel with the
front panel switches.
2. Use a DVM on the AC scale and adjust channel 1 or channel 2 on
the DAPM for 1VRMS.
3. Verify that JP1 on the pre-amp card of each AA75 is removed. This
sets the AA75 for the 1 VRMS signal input. Check the pre-amp riser
at each amp for signal degradation. You should not lose more than
10% of the pre-amp signal. (0.1 VRMS)
