MIC Page

Directs audio from microphone to area #6 (channel F)
speakers. LED indicates switch active.

Indicators

Phone Switch LED - Phone page selected on channel 1/2.

MIC Switch LED - Microphone selected to page on channel 1/2.

Tone Switch LED - Pre-program. tone manually/automatically selected
to broadcast on channel 1/2.

Tape Switch LED - Rec. message manually/automatically selected to
broadcast on channel 1/2.

VU Meter - Reflects Microphone activity.

LD1 - Red LED indicates data activity.

BZ1 - Buzzer indicates FCCA-4/6 incoming phone call.

Controls

Phone

- Connects the telephone riser and branch circuits to the audio

input for paging.

MIC

 - Enables the page circuitry. To page the fire area, press the MIC

switch on the front of the FCCA-4/6 to enable the paging circuitry. The
FCCA-4/6 will continue to output the pre-programmed audio on the
channel 1 riser until the push-to-talk switch on the microphone is
engaged. Operating the push-to-talk switch on the microphone generates
a pre-announcement tone (Mode 4) followed by the signal being applied
to the channel 1 riser to be replaced with the signal from the microphone.
While paging, the VU meter will show audio activity. When the push-to-
talk button or the MIC switch is released, the pre-programmed signal will
again be sent out to the riser. If the FCCA-4/6 detects no audio for 20
seconds, and the PHONE switch is still activated, the FCCA-4/6 will
revert to the tone condition. If a page to all areas is required, activate
BOTH channel 1 and channel 2 MIC select switches. If SW(1/2)-5 is ON
and the FCCA-4/6 is active, pressing the MIC switch automatically
generates zone 23/24. If no audio is sensed from the microphone, the tone
LED will light and the microphone will automatically de-select.

Tone

- Switches the tone configured by SW(1/2) to the respective audio

riser. Activation of the TONE switch overrides any automatic or
manually selected function. If the system is not in the alarm condition,
operating the TONE switch outputs the fire tone via its respective pre-
amp output to the channel 1/2 power amplifier pre-amp inputs.

Tape

 - Switches the AUX IN signal to its respective pre-amp output.

Activation of the TAPE switch overrides any automatic or manually
selected function. If no tape signal is available at the AUX IN terminals
for 20 seconds, the system will revert back to tone (Mode 0).

Hookswitch

-Removing handset from hookswitch connects FCCA-4/6 to

both telephone risers.
