2. Select additional floors to receive the page. The "Fire Areas" are
automatically connected.
3. Press the push-to-talk switch on the microphone. No pre-
announcement tone is generated (Mode 4 only). The page message
will automatically override the tone/tape message being broadcast.
The VU meter on the FCCA indicates audio activity.
Note:
The "other area" switches have no function on a single channel
system.
Phone Page or Wardens Page
1. Establish two-way communications with the phone station which
will make the page.
2. Press the Fire Area Phone switch. The LED will light. The phone
risers are now connected to the Fire Area (channel 1) pre-amp
output.
3. Any active phone station on either phone riser may make an
announcement to the Fire Area. The FCCA master handset may be
used to monitor this announcement.
Tape Message
To broadcast the pre-recorded message:
1. Press the Fire Area Tape switch. The Tape LED lights. The Aux
Input (TAPE) is now connected to the Fire Area (channel 1) pre-
amp output, and activated.
Note:
Activate tape player on MVM or RAMM-A. MIC or Phone Page
will override the tape message.
Tone
To broadcast the alarm signal:
1. Press the Tone switch. The Tone LED lights. The internal tone
generator is now connected to the Fire Area (channel 1) pre-amp
output, and activated.
Note:
MIC or Phone Page will override the tone.
Dual-Channel System Operation
In an alarm condition, the system activates the FCCA and places the
channel 1 “fire area” alarm signal on the “B” riser, SIGA Channel 2
and the “other area” alert signal on the “A” riser, SIGA Channel 1.
Either the Tone and/or Tape LED’s will illuminate, depending on the
source of the alarm signal, and its destination. Automatic distribution
of the fire area signals from the channel 1 and 2 risers is done by other
portions of the alarm system. Areas not receiving the fire area signal
automatically receive the “other area” signal. Additional floors may be
manually switched in for fire (channel 1) alarm signal distribution
