Change or Remove Password
•
Select
Set password
from the
Security
menu.

Enter the old password. Touch

Enter a new password and retype it for confirmation. Touch

To delete a password and turn

off, leave both
password input fields blank and touch

The
Password cleared, Device
unlocked
message will confirm
the removal of the password.
Options

Select

Security
menu.

Select one of the automatic
Security
modes:
•
Auto lock
– to automatically activate data security when the
device is turned off (either manually or automatically).
•
Don't lock
– to keep the current setting unchanged on turn-
off.

If you are concerned with data security, it is recommended
to keep the default setting
Auto lock
.

Note:
With the
Auto lock
and
Resume screen
settings (see page
95), if one of the lockable sections is open when the device is
shut down, you will have to specify a valid password to re-enter
this section.
MEMORY CHECK
Instantly check on the free memory status with this option. If the
memory is too low, the next chapter offers a radical solution.
