Installation instructions
Features
- Silent running centrifugal pump with 1,5m power cord
- Full ball bearings in drive shaft
- Pump unit encapsulated in a IP55-rated case (EE400M only)
- Check valve to prevent back-flow of liquid into the unit
- Overflow safety alarm switch (EE400M and EE300 only)
- Ultra-compact size
Application
The Eckerle condensate pumps EE400M, EE300 and EE150 are
designed to automatically remove liquid from air-conditioners, evapo
-
rator coils and/or an oil or gas condensing warm air boilers (EE400M
and EE300 only). The pumps are made from a tough ABS plastic so will
resist corrosion, impact and thermal influences. (pH ≥ 3, max. 70C°).

Installation
1. Carefully unpack the unit, check for damage and make sure that all of
the required parts are included. The units are thoroughly tested before
packing to insure safe delivery and operation. If there is any sign
of damage due to shipment, return it to the place of purchase for
repair or replacement.
2. Choose a mounting location near the air-conditioner or boiler.
The pump must be mounted level. And the inlet must be below the
lowest drain.
3.The pump should be mounted in a way that the cover (EE400M)
and/or the pump unit inside (EE150 and EE300) can be removed
easily for cleaning purposes.
Connecting the piping
1. Run flexible tubing or pipe from the condensate drain on the
evaporator pan and/or drain from boiler to the inlet hole on the pump.
This drain line should have a continuous downward slope to
allow gravity flow. Cut the end of the line at an angle so the end
does not close off on the bottom of the pump’s tank.
2. Connect the discharge line by hand- tighten the cap nut of the
check valve in a clockwise direction. Flexible tubing with a size of
8x2 mm will be suitable. Extend the discharge line straight up from
the pump to the highest point, run the discharge line to a drain with
a downward slope.
Note: Condensates discharged from condensing boilers can con-
tain residual contaminants like soot & unburned hydrocarbons. In
these systems, it is essential that the contaminated condensates
are treated before being delivered to the pump. Failure to comply
with these requirements can cause equipment malfunction.
Wiring
Shut off electrical power at the fuse box before making any wiring
connections. All wiring must be done according to local and/or applicable
national codes.
1. Main power connection: All pumps are equipped with a 1.5 m power
cord. Connect this cord to a constant line voltage source, not a fan
or other device that may run intermittently.
2. Overflow alarm switch: The pump models EE400M and EE300 are
equipped with an overflow alarm switch (NO/NC) which should be
connected. The alarm contact of the EE400M will be activated with a
5s time delay and only works if the main power line is connected.
