SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read carefully and save for future use!
Warning
: The safety measures and instructions, contained in this manual, do not include all conditions and
situations possible. The user must understand that common sense, caution and care are factors that cannot be
integrated into any product. Therefore, these factors shall be ensured by the user/s using and operating this
appliance. We are not liable for damages caused during shipping, by incorrect use, voltage fl uctuation or the
modifi cation or adjustment of any part of the appliance.
To protect against a risk of fi re or electric shock, basic precautions shall be taken while using electrical
appliances, including the following:
1. Make sure the voltage in your outlet corresponds to the voltage provided on the appliance label and that
the socket is properly grounded. The outlet must be installed according to valid safety instructions.
2. Do not use the coff ee maker if the power cord is damaged.
All repairs including cord replacements shall
be performed by a professional service centre! Do not remove protective covers of the appliance,
risk of electric shock!
3. Protect the appliance against direct contact with water and other liquids, to prevent potential electric
shock.
4. Do not use the coff ee maker outside or in humid environment. Do not touch the power cord or the coff ee
maker with wet hands. Risk of electric shock.
5. We recommend that you do not leave the plugged in coff ee maker unattended. Disconnect the cord from
the electrical outlet prior to performing maintenance. Do not pull the cord from the outlet by yanking the
cord. Unplug the cord from the outlet by grasping the plug.
6. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces or lead the cord over sharp edges.
7. Use original accessories only.
8. The
coff ee maker should not be left operating unattended.
9. Pay extra attention when using the coff ee maker close to children. Never allow children to use the
appliance alone to protect them against the risk of electric shock. Place the coff ee maker in spot where
the children do not have access. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or worktop on which
the appliance stands.
10. Do not place the coff ee maker on a hot surface and do not use it close to sources of heat (e.g. cooking
plates).
11. Use the coff ee maker only in accordance with the instructions in this manual. The manufacturer is not
liable for damages caused by the improper use of this appliance.
12. Some of the coff ee maker parts are hot during operation, do not touch them with bare hands.
13. Never leave an empty carafe on the heating plate, it could break.
14. This appliance is intended for household use and similar areas, including:
- kitchenette in shops, offi
ces and other workplaces
- appliances used in agriculture
- appliances used by guests in hotels, motels and other accommodations
- appliances used in Bed&Breakfast accommodations
15. This appliance can be used by children ages 8 and older and by the physically and mentally impaired or
by individuals with insuffi
cient experience and knowledge, if supervised or trained to use the appliance in
a safe manner and understand potential dangers. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and
maintenance operations performed by the user shall not be carried out by children, if they are not older
than 8 years and under supervision. Children under the age of 8 shall keep away from the appliance and
its power supply.
