Whether it is best to select an abbreviated or a full data
representation depends on the type of SmartWire station:
An abbreviated representation is best suited for stations
with a small number of status or control bits, as this
reduces the number of unused bit fields within the
MODBUS RTU protocol; a full representation is best used
for stations with a large number of status or control bits.
