4.3 Versions of description files

Click on the "Device =>PC" button.
The target configuration will be loaded into the Project view.

Click on the “Offline” button.
▶
Switch to the Project view by clicking on the "View" -> "Communication
View" menu option.

Click on the menu option "Project"->"save GSD file".
▶
Specify the project folder as the storage location and confirm with
"Save."
SWD assist stores the GSD file under the name of the current project with
the appropriate extension, such as "SWD_Proj.gsd" for EU5C-SWD-DP. This
can be installed in XSoft-CoDeSys-2 in the same way as the standard GSD
file.
4.3 Versions of description files

used in order to be able to add your SWD modules to your PLC configuration,

Section “ Support Center”, page 3 and
enter "SWD" into the Search field.
The "SmartWire-DT Modules" manual defines the applicable device version,
operating system version, and description file version requirements for each
SWD module in detail.

Give the GSD file a name with a maximum of eight characters.
Certain PLC programming environments, such as the "HW Con-
fig" PLC programming environment, will only recognize names
of up to eight characters.
