Saving and Restoring Configuration Settings
You can create a backup of the PXGX PDP Card settings and the EMS configuration and restore them at a later
date.
Creating a Backup
To create a backup:
1.
Select
Save and Restore
from the Configuration menu.
2.
To save the panel and breaker settings in the EMS configuration
a.
Click
Save EMS configuration
.
The card exports an XML file containing the EMS configuration settings.
b.
Click
Save
and enter a file name and location to save the XML file.
3.
To save the PXGX PDP Card settings and preferences:
a.
Click
Save gateway configuration
.
The card exports an XML file containing the PXGX PDP Card configuration settings.
b.
Click
Save
and enter a file name and location to save the XML file.
Restoring a Backup
Note:
Restoring configuration settings overrides all changes made to the configuration settings since the
backup file was created.
To restore the configuration settings from a backup file:
1.
Select
Save and Restore
from the Configuration menu.
2.
Click
Browse
to select the file name and then click
OK
.
3.
When prompted, confirm that you want to override the configuration settings with the backup file. Click
OK
or
Cancel
.
4.
Update the Web page if the Device Data does not automatically display after the backup is complete.
