The appliance is designed to be operated and stored in a situation where temperatures are b5°
and +40° Celsius. Please avoid using the appliance in any place where it would be subjected to high
temperatures, low temperatures, physical shocks or vibration. Do not use the appliance in a wet or humid
environment.

If your appliance is damaged or operates in an abnormal way, immediately stop using it and take it to an
authorised service engineer for checking, repair or adjustment.

The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage that results from overuse, incorrect operation, incorrect
maintenance, neglecting the information given in the instruction manual or normal wear and tear. In
addition, the manufacturer is not responsible for damage caused by any parts of the appliance breaking
or cracking.

Always disconnect the appliance from the mains when you’ve finished using it or are taking a break, even if
it’s only for a short period of time.

In order to avoid electric shock, never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. Never touch the
appliance with wet hands. Never allow the wall socket to become wet. You must have dry hands when you
plug the mains connector into the wall socket and when you unplug it. If any moisture is allowed inside the
appliance, immediately stop using it and take it to a service engineer for checking or repair.

The mains connector must be always disconnected from the wall socket after use and before cleaning. Never
disconnect the appliance from the socket by pulling the mains cable; always grip the plug!

Never lay the mains cable beside or across sharp edges or hot surfaces. Never wrap the mains cable around
the cover of the appliance, do not pull the cable and do not lift the appliance with the mains cable because
the cable can break or the insulation can be damaged. A damaged cable must be replaced by an authorised
service engineer. The appliance must not be used or connected to a wall socket if the cable is damaged.

Do not lengthen or alter the mains cable of the appliance. If you need a longer cable between the appliance
and the wall socket, you should buy a standard extension cord from an electrical dealer. When using an
extension cord, be careful not to create a hazard that you or someone else could trip over.

You must not disassemble the appliance, remove its cover or to try to repair it. Ignoring this advice could
cause a serious accident. There are no parts in the appliance that can be repaired at home or used for any
other purpose. Never operate the appliance with a damaged mains cable or connector. Do not use the
appliance if it fails to work normally or if it has been dropped or damaged. If the appliance becomes faulty for
any reason or if any moisture is allowed inside, take it to an authorised service engineer for checking and
repair. Only service engineers who have been trained and approved should repair the appliance. The
manufacturer cannot take any responsibility for unauthorised repairs or for any circumstances resulting from
not following the instructions.

Never use the appliance in the bath, in the shower or above a basin containing any
water because of the risk of electric shock. Keep at least one metre from those
situations and any other objects containing liquid when using the appliance. We
strongly recommend that you avoid using the appliance in the bathroom and any other

humid or potentially hazardous place. If the appliance is dropped into water,
immediately disconnect it from the mains. Do not attempt to remove it or touch the
water until the power has been switched off. If the appliance has been dropped into
water or been in contact with high levels of humidity, take it to an authorised service
engineer and have it checked before using it again.

Before using the appliance in a bathroom, provide extra protection by installing an additional current safety
switch (RCD) with a maximum sensitivity of 30 mA into the bathroom's mains supply. A qualified electrician
must perform this installation.

When heating the appliance before use, place it on a stable and heat-resistant surface. Make sure it cannot
fall off and will not be accidentally knocked or touched. Never leave the appliance unattended when it is
heating up, during use or cooling down. If you need to take a break when using the appliance, always switch
it off and remove the plug from the wall socket.

Do not cover the appliance with anything when it is switched on or when it is cooling down.

Never pull or lift the appliance by holding the mains cable. Please take care not to let the appliance drop
during use or storage as this could crack the styling plates. Accidental damage is not covered by the
manufacturer's guarantee.

Take care not to let any aerosol spray inside the appliance.

Warning! The styling plates will become very hot during use. To avoid burns, do not touch these parts or allow
them to touch the scalp during use.

This appliance is only for styling human hair. It must not be used on animal hair or artificial hair.

Please keep this instruction manual. If you give the appliance to anyone else,
you must give them this instruction manual, too!
