Flow Rates are Changing
Cleanliness of the barrel and components is a critical factor in the behavior of
materials. The barrel of the unit should be cleaned as well as possible. All
components associated with the instrument (
Piston tip
and
Orifice
) should be
cleaned of all debris and material build-up.
Remove
the orifice to clean it. Next,
the units’ component tolerances and operational components should be checked:
The barrel
temperature
should be checked with the supplied
thermometer. (+/- 0.2° C)
The
orifice
should be checked for wear with the supplied GO-NO GO
gauge. (0.0825 +/-0.0002 in.)
