TESTING PACKS
6.3.2 THE STABILISE PHASE
1)
When the target vacuum level is attained the pump will stop and the Vacuum will be held for the
STABILISE phase. This allows the pressure to equilibrate.
NOTE: If the Target vacuum is not attained, an error message will be displayed

During the STABILISE phase some change in force may be noticed. As this is likely due to the
change in pressure (adiabatic effects) the values are not included in the test result calculations.
6.3.3 THE DECAY TEST PHASE
1)
After the STABILISE phase the DECAY TEST phase is entered. This is to detect pinhole size leak
paths. The Pack indicators now to show the change in force that may indicate a leaking pack.
2)
After the DECAY TEST phase is the VENT phase.
