7.1 Continuous sound pressure level
m The operator always must use ear protection. The emission value at the ear of
the driver varies depending on the materials used for paving and may even rise
above 85 dB(A). If no ear protectors are used, hearing can be impaired.
The sound emission level of the paver finisher was measured under free-field condi-
tions according to EN 500-6:2006 and ISO 4872.

7.2 Operating conditions during measurement
The diesel engine was running at maximum speed. The screed was lowered into
working position. The tamper and the vibrator were running at min. 50% of their max-
imum speed, the augers at min. 40% and the conveyors at min. 10% of their maxi-
mum speed.
