1. Always wear safety glasses and protective gloves.
To vent the high-pressure pump, proceed as follows:
1) Open the ventilation valve during the step
RO start 1
or during the initial disinfection
steps.
2) Collect the water below the discharge hose in a container.
3) Vent the high-pressure pump until no more air escapes from it.
8.6 Testing the feed water hardness (DUROTEST® set)
For optimal operational reliability, BWT recommends testing the feed water hardness on a
regular basis using the DUROTEST® set. The DUROTEST® set contains a detection reagent for a
simple analysis of the total hardness of the softened water.

Test pipe
To test the feed water hardness, proceed as follows:
1) Rinse the test pipe well with the softened water to be tested.
2) Fill the water to be tested into the test pipe up to the 10
ml mark.
3) Add the analysis solution drop by drop and mix well after each drop.
