4 Transport and installation
4.1 Transport
DANGER
The device may tip over during transport
If the device tips over, this may result in severe physical injury, death and/or damage to the
device.
1. During transport, fasten and secure the device as prescribed.
2. To transport and load the device, use only suitable and technically flawless hoists and load
bearing equipment with a sufficient load-bearing capacity (forklift, crane).
DANGER
Danger due to moving or falling loads
There is a risk of crushing when working with moving loads.
1. Do not stand below or in front of moving loads.
2. During assembly work above head height, use the designated safety climbing aids or work
platforms.
3. During lifting processes, use only suitable and technically flawless hoists and load bearing
equipment with a sufficient load-bearing capacity (forklift, crane).
4. Take a safety tolerance of at least 5% into account for the dimensions of openings for
transport in installation spaces.
Unpacking the device
1) Remove the packaging and transport locks.
2) Check that the delivery is complete and check for any transport damage.
3) Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly way.
Mounting the anti-tip guard for device models 40–90
1) Mount the anti-tip guard supplied for the device models BWT PERMAQ® Pico 40-90 and
BWT PERMAQ® Pico Vario 40–90.
2) Move the anti-tip guard at ground level at the installation location and fasten it to the floor.
