There is also a ribbon cable connector under the playfield where people are hooking up mods to.
In regard to the power taken from the mod connector:
1)
is as always on your own risk
2)
only 5 and 12VDC available, max 1A.
3)
these are none fused lines !! As the PSU can deliver plenty of power you run the risk of blown
pcb traces due to much power !
4)
if you take by chance one of the led driving channels, those can only deliver 20mA and
overloading it can blow a channel(s) on the PDled bord.
5)
TBL owners with a lit-up Apron will see this connector occupied and no longer available
Perhaps easiest solution is the spare 12VDC plug in the backbox. Use it with a 12VDC to 5VDC or
3VDC converter if those voltages are needed. They are not expensive.
Again, adding mods to your pinball is at your own risk. This document is meant to keep the chance
for errors as little as possible and always check the voltages prior to adding mods.
And fuse your Mods properly!
