PROBLEM
Compressor won’t start after power
failure (cont’d)
Compressor continually runs.
PC controller card “FAULT” LED
illuminated.
PC controller card “SYS” LED does
not illuminate.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Compressor fill cycle was interrupted
before pressure switch operated.
Air leak in system.
Pressure switch is improperly set to
control 93 PSIG (6.5 BAR) manifold
pressure.
Check valve is sticking open or has
failed.
Diaphragm valve failed to operate.
Air compressor failed to start or
re-start during cleaning cycle.
No 100-120 VAC power.
POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
Manually lift up pressure switch external
unloader valve. Compressor connec-
tions are under pressure and need to be
released prior to compressor restarting.
Check air manifold reservoir system for
air leaks at tube fittings and diaphragm
valve. Test all fittings using soap solu-
tion. Correct all leaks as found.
Reset pressure switch to cut out at 93
PSIG (6.5 BAR).
Replace pressure switch.
Clean and/or replace check valve locat-
ed below the pressure switch.
Verify valve solenoid is energized by
watching “PULSE” LED on PC controller
card. If LED fails to illuminate, replace
controller card. If LED illuminates,
replace valve solenoid.
Verify air compressor is energized by
watching “CMP” LED on PC controller
card. If LED fails to illuminate:
1. Loose air compressor wires at PC
controller card terminals.
2. Loss of power to air compressor at
PC controller card terminals; replace
PC controller card.
3. Faulty pressure; replace.
4. Improper controller card configuration
settings for SW1 and SW2 switches
(refer to Section 4.8 and Section 5.3).
5. Faulty air compressor; replace.
6. Compressor starting under load, man-
ually lift up pressure switch external
unloader valve. Refer to Section 4.9,
figure 8 and CAUTION notation for
external unloader valve information.
Verify power to PC controller card.
Check PC controller card fuses.
Check transformer primary and sec-
ondary side fusing.
