PROBLEM
Insufficient airflow (cont’d).
Continual, excessive pressure drop
(over 5” w.g. [127 mmG]) across
filters.
Compressor won’t start after power
failure.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Air inlets and/or ductwork are under-
sized.
Filter(s) is plugged.
Air inlet(s) is obstructed.
Compressed air supply problems.
Filter cleaning system is not
functioning properly.
Cleaning system not firing properly with
customer-supplied compressed air.
Diaphragm valve not firing.
Filter is st the end of its useful life.
Compressor internal overload is
tripped.
POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
Increase air inlet and/or ductwork sizes
to reduce duct line static pressure loss-
es. Follow ductwork design methods as
listed in Industrial Ventilation Manual
recommended by American Conference
of Governmental Industrial Hygienists.
Replace filter. Refer to troubleshooting
procedure for continual pressure drop
across filters.
Adjust downtime cleaning pulse to two
or three times after blower shutdown.
Inspect and clean all hoods or other
machine connections.
Verify compressor is supplying 93 PSIG
(6.5 BAR) of air-to-air reservoir manifold
for downtime filter cleaning operation.
Adjust pressure switch to allow 93 PSIG
(6.5 BAR) of air in air reservoir manifold.
Check incoming 100-120V power to
cleaning system electrical PC controller
card. Check for blown fuse(s) on clean-
ing system PC controller card.
Motor starter auxiliary contactor (1M-B)
is not properly wired to cleaning system
per electrical wiring diagram provided in
this manual. Correct wiring problem.
Check for loose wiring in cleaning sys-
tem electrical enclosure and correct.
Verify no wiring is connected at “SW
PRESS” and “CMP” terminals on PC
controller card.
Check for loose wiring in cleaning sys-
tem electrical enclosure.
Verify pressure switch is normally open
(N.O.) at 993 PSIG (6.5 BAR) manifold
reading.
Replace filter. Order Supra-Conic
®
replacement filters from UAS by part
number found on the filters or as noted
in the front cover of this manual.
Allow compressor to cool down.
Manually lift up pressure switch external
unloader valve. Compressor connec-
tions are under pressure and need to be
released prior to compressor restarting.
