4.5.3 Setting the timing for opening
Proper setting
The bobbin case lifter starts to open exactly at the point when the hook tip
is located below the bobbin case lifter after the loop is taken up.

To set the timing for opening:
1. Remove the plug (1).
2. Press and turn the hand crank until the tip of the needle is level with
the throat plate. The threaded pin (2) must be accessible from the
underside of the hook support.
3. Slacken the threaded pin (2) and use a hex key to turn the socket-head
screw so that the hex key stands exactly vertical.
4. Tighten the threaded pin (2).
5. Insert the plug (1) into the opening.
WARNING
Risk of injury from moving parts!
Crushing possible.
Switch off the machine before you check and set
the timing for opening.
