CAUTION: The Daycover is heavy, a
minimum of two people are
required to lift it.
6. Set the new Daycover on the Hot Food Unit;
align the front and sides of the Daycover fl ush
with the Hot Food Unit.
7. Mark the 6 screw hole locations where the back
of the Daycover stops on the Hot Food Unit.
8. Remove the Daycover, using a center punch
on each of the marked screw hole locations.
Mark New Location for Light Cord
9. Measure ½″ from the mark made on the Hot
Food Unit where the Daycover ends and ⅝″
in from the ledge. This will be the new location
for the Lamp Cord.
10. Using a 5 ⁄16″ drill bit, drill 6 holes in the 6
marked locations on the Hot Food Unit.
11. Using a 10-24 tap, tap each of the 6 holes.
12. Drill a ⅛″ hole in the location marked for the
Lamp Cord.
13. Using a ½″ drill bit, enlarge the hole drilled in
step 12.
NOTICE:
If an Extraction Tool is not available, cut
the terminal off the wire. A new terminal will have
to be installed if this method is used.
14. Using an Extraction Tool, remove the terminal
from the end of the lamp wiring the extends
out of the Hot Food unit.
15. Remove the wire from its original position
and fi sh it up through the new hold in the Hot
Food unit.
16. Insert a Grommet over the wire and snap it
into place in the hole.
NOTICE:
If the old terminal was cut off, a new one
will be required. Ensure that the BLACK wire is
connected in the pointed side of the terminal.
17. Reattach the wire terminal.

18. Place the new Daycover on the Hot Food
unit.
19. Reconnect the lamp cord.
20. Using the 6 10 – 24 ¼″ bolts supplied with
the kit, bolt the Pylons to each end of the Hot
Food unit.
21. Install the new End Glass.
22. Plug any remaining holes in the Hot Food
unit.
23. Install the Frosted Plexiglas on the
Daycover.
24. Install the Clear Plexiglas
Properly installed Aluminum Daycover.
25. Connect power and check for proper light
operation.
