NOTICE:
It is best to start with a smaller ⅛″ bit
and gradually make the hole larger.
11. Drill a ½″ hole at the mark.
11A. If the unit has smooth body, front feed the
wire up through the ½″. Place a Grommet over
the wire and push the Grommet into the hole.
Go to step 15.
Location of Additional Holes for
Ribbed Front Units
11B. If the unit has a ribbed front, two additional
½″ holes are required. Refer to fi gure above
for the correct location of these holes.
12. Feed the wire through the hole in the front of
the unit and place a Grommet over the wire.
Press the Grommet into position in the hole.
Also place a Grommet facing the opposite
direction on the wire to be inserted into the
side hole once the wire is pulled through it.
13. Feed a fi sh tape through the top hole and
through the front side hole. Attach the wire
to the fi sh tape and carefully pull the wire
through. Press the Grommet into position in
the side hole.
14. Attach a Grommet to the wire where it exits
the top hole and press it into position.
15. Remove the Front Filler from the side of the
Pylon where the Light Wire harness is located.
The fi ller will be reattached later.
CAUTION:
Make sure the pylons do not
spread apart while placing the
Daycover in position on the unit.
Spreading may cause the Daycover
Doors to fall their hinge pins.
16. Place the new Aluminum Daycover into position
on top of the unit.
17. Feed the Light Wire up through the hole in the
Pylon.
NOTICE:
Make sure the black wire is connected
to pointed side of the connector housing.
18. Reattach the electrical terminals to the
wires.
19. Bolt the Daycover onto the unit into the holes
from the previous installation.
20. Connect the light wiring harnesses together.
21. Route the wire through the Pylon.
NOTICE: Ensure the wiring does not get pinched.
The light cord exits at a notch in the top of
the fi ller.
22. Reinstall the Pylon Filler.
23. Reconnect the unit to its power source and
ensure proper operation of the Daycover
Light.
