Rear shock absorber adjusters
The rear shock absorber has external adjusters that allow
you to adjust your motorcycle to different load conditions.
Adjuster (1) is located on the right at the lower fastening
that connects the shock absorber to the swingarm, and
regulates the rebound damping.
Turn the adjuster clockwise to increase damping
H ; and
counterclockwise to reduce it S .
STANDARD setting:
from the fully closed position (clockwise), unscrew the
adjuster (1) by 18 clicks.
Spring preload: 25 mm
The two ring nuts (2) on the upper part of the shock
absorber adjust the preload on the external spring.
To change the spring preload, turn the upper ring nut.
Preload is increased or reduced by screwing the lower
ring nut in or out.
STANDARD length of the preloaded spring on the shock
absorber: 157 mm.
Warning
Use a pin wrench to turn the preload adjusting nut.
Take special care when turning the nut, to avoid injuring
your hand by striking it violently against other parts of
the motorcycle if the wrench suddenly slips off the nut
while turning.
