Seat and helmet compartment lock
Opening
Insert the key into the lock and turn it clockwise until the
seat is released from the frame. Release the seat from
the front catches by pulling it backwards.
The helmet cable (1) is in the front part of the
compartment under the seat (see page 43). Pass the
cable through the helmet and insert the end of the cable
into the pin (2). Leave the helmet hanging and refit the
seat to hold it in place.
Warning
This device protects the helmet against theft when
the motorcycle is parked. Do not leave the helmet
attached in this way when riding the motorcycle, as it
can interfere with your movements and cause loss of
control of the motorcycle.
Closing
Make sure all parts are correctly arranged and secured in
the underseat compartment. Insert the front ends of the
bottom of the seat under the hook bolt in the frame, then
push the back end of the seat until you hear the bolt in the
lock click into place. Check that the seat is firmly secured
to the frame and remove the key from the lock.
