5.6 Voltage supply
The internal Lithium-Ion ba ery, which can be easily charged with the ba ery charger supplied
with the equipment, serves as the power supply for the calibrator. To charge the
TLDMM

rechargeable ba eriy, the mains plug of the charger/mains connector must always be plugged
in to a mains socket and accessible, so that one can always remove it from the mains socket
without difficulty.
The calibrator is delivered with a charge level of 25...75% and should be fully charged once before
used.

ba ery will be charged, even if the calibrator is switched off.
CAUTION!
The ba ery level during storage or shipping should be between 25 and 75%.
• When the ba ery charger is no longer being used, the mains plug should be disconnected from
the mains socket. Do not leave the ba ery charger connected to the rechargeable ba ery for
longer than one day, since overloading can shorten its service life.
• Should the rechargeable ba ery s ll not be fully charged a er 8 hours, contact the
manufacturer. When not being used, a fully-charged ba ery will lose its charge over me.
• Extreme temperatures have an adverse effect on ba ery charging. As a result, the ba ery may
first need to be either cooled or warmed, as appropriate.
• When the ba ery is nearly empty, is shown on the display.
5.6.1 During charging
CAUTION!
The temperature range over which the Lithium-Ion ba ery can be charged is
10...45°C. Charging the Lithium-Ion ba ery at temperatures outside of this range
may lead to hea ng or damage. In addi on, the performance of the Lithium-Ion
ba ery can be affected and the service life reduced.
5.6.2 Discharging the Lithium-Ion ba eries

In order to discharge the Lithium-Ion ba ery, never use any device other that
specified by

Leitenberger GmbH. When the Lithium-Ion

ba ery is used in devices other than the specified device, the performance and
service life of the Lithium-Ion ba ery may be reduced, and, should the device
cause an abnormal current to flow, it can cause the Lithium-Ion ba ery to become
hot, explode or ignite and result in serious injury.
