Observe all provided warnings and safety instructions prior to and
when using the Dremel LC40 Laser Cutter.
Failure to do so may
result in fire, equipment damage, property damage and/or personal injury, up to and
including death.
Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any
assembly, adjustments or changing accessories.
Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the laser cutter accidentally.
Do not touch the any part of the laser tube and its connections.
Laser tube and its connections may be hot if laser was used recently.
Use care when removing the tube guard.
The LED lights may be
damaged by contact with tube guard edges.
LASER TUBE GUARD REMOVAL
For some tasks, the Tube Guard requires
r e m o v a l s o t h a t c o m p o n e n t s c a n b e
accessed. Examples are Gantry alignment
( m o t o r c o n n e c t o r a d j u s t m e n t ) , f a n
cleaning, and Laser Tube replacement. If
removal is required, follow the steps
below.
1. M o v e t h e G a n t r y t o i t ’ s f u r t h e s t
forward point, Fig. 39.
2. Loose the 3 captive fasteners of the
Tube Guard, Fig. 40.
3. Lift the Tube Guard slightly off of the
posts that retain the bottom of the
guard.
4. R o t a t e t h e T u b e G u a r d c o u n t e r
clockwise as shown in Fig. 41.
5. Lift the front left corner of the Tube
Guard until it clears the plastic, Fig.
42. Use caution not to damage the LED
Lights. Continue to tip and rotate.
Reverse steps to install.
