Necessity of a system test
Should there be any doubt concerning the measurement results after considerable external
influences on the measuring system or the carrier vehicle (for example rear-end collision), the
system should be checked. In addition to the detailed test described in Chapter C.1, another
simpler solution is available for this purpose. Both can be performed by the user on-site in the
forest.
The correct combination of the individual pictures in the context of the picture analysis can be
checked by comparing a reference length (in the simplest case of the maximum woodpile
length) with the result of the device measurement. The difference should not be more than
10 cm or 1% of the length.
CAUTION: If the test results of the reference area test are outside the conformity-rated toler-
ance or if the simple test is longer than 10 cm or 1% of the length, contact the manufacturer
immediately.
