Functional checks
Open both door leaves and engage the hold open .
Then pull the active leaf closed.
The inactive leaf should be automatically released
and closed.
The active leaf should also close automatically, but
only once the inactive leaf has reached its closed
position.
Open both door leaves and engage at the hold open
position.
Interrupt the power supply - this should release the
hold open mechanism to allow the doors to close.
Bend the cover for the active leaf slide channel
bearing assembly at the end as indicated, and fix.
Seal the cut-out for the connecting rod with a cover
to be provided by others/manufactured on site.
Fix the cover on the active leaf slide channel.

Subject to change without notice
Note:
Installation stages 10 - 16 must be performed
on both door leaves.
Insert the closer in the door leaf and fix.
Close the 120° - 0° adjustment valve.
Fit the closer arm.
Ensure that the square recess in the arm is
positioned correctly as this is critical for the door
closer function.
Turn closer arm approx. 30° in the direction
indicated.
Remove arm, turn 90° and re-fit.
Fix arm to closer and slide shoe.
Adjust closing speed.
Adjust closing force.
Adjust latch action.
Close inactive leaf.
Unwind the adjustment sleeve of the active leaf slide
channel by hand until pin drops out.
Note: The pin retains the closing mechanism in its
neutral position without clamping and can be
discarded once the system has been installed.
The clamping rod will only operate smoothly if the
clamping plate has been properly adjusted. Only then
will the active leaf swing freely with the inactive leaf
closed.
Functional checks
Open both leaves and then hold the inactive leaf in its
open position.
The active leaf must then stay open at any angle.
Allow the inactive leaf to close.
The active leaf should close automatically, but only
once the inactive leaf has reached its closed position.
Open active leaf and secure adjustment sleeve.
Setting the hold-open point
Switch on power supply (24 V DC).
Open door leaf and engage hold open mechanism.
Loosen screws.
Open door leaf until required hold open angle is
reached, and retain in this position.
Re-tighten screws.
The door cannot be opened beyond the hold
open point; fix a door stop at this position.
Setting the pull-off force
Adjust the pull-off force to suit the door width and
size of door closer.
EN 1155 states that the release torque at a 90° door
opening angle should be between 40 and 120 Nm.
If the pull-off force is set too high, damage might
occur at the hinges and at the fixings of the door
closer system.
