Programmable alarm relay
The device is equipped with programmable
potential free alarm relays, which are activated
when the unit shuts down and jumps to an error
mode. The alarm relays are deactivating again
when the error has been resolved and the device is
running in normal operating mode again.
The following alarm relays are activated when the
device shuts downs:
• MT ICC 1600 SI-N: alarm relay
• MT ICC 3000 SI-N: relay 1
After the AC supply becomes available the follow-
ing relays will be activated:
• MT ICC 1600 SI-N: alarm relay
• MT ICC 3000 SI-N: relay 2
MT ICC 3000 SI-N: In case of battery operation,
relay 2 will deactivate immediately. This can be
used e.g. to signalize AC input presence on the
board control, or to switch less critical AC loads
(i.e. electric boiler, A/C) on and off that are
allowed to be supplied by the mains or alternator
only.
Both normally closed and normally open contacts
of these relays are available.
Maximum relay contact ratings:
• MT ICC 1600 SI-N: 30 VDC/1 A or 60 VDC/0.3
A.
• MT ICC 3000 SI-N: 30 VDC/16 A or 250
VAC/16 A.
Trigger input
The trigger input offers a way of externally con-
trolling the behavior of the device. The trigger
input can be connected to an external switch or a
potential free relay contact or activated by a short
piece of wire between both contacts. By closing
this external switch or contact, a user programma-
ble action will be performed. Such an action could
for example be to release the AC transfer switch,
temporarily disable the AC input power booster
feature or force the device to switch to inverter
mode.
By default, the device is preprogrammed to switch
to inverter mode for a limited time of 5 minutes
before switching off completely during an AC
power failure, if the trigger input is activated.
Number of trigger inputs:
• MT ICC 1600 SI-N: 1
• MT ICC 3000 SI-N: 2
