Assemble the double jib
➤
Set down the jibs with a centre-to-centre spacing
of b = 280.0 cm and stiffen with scaffolding tubes.
Make sure that the horizontal scaffolding tubes
all extend the same distance to either side of the
jibs.

Adjust the position of the Jib slide (L) as shown
in the assembly plan.
Note:
If the Jib slide (L) is positioned very far back, ensure
that the suspension beam (M) can still be fitted
through from above. This can be achieved by not
fitting the two front scaffolding tubes until later.

Lift the double jib into the Bogie for
Forming wagon TS
➤
Lift the assembled double jib (G) into the Bogie
for Forming wagon TS, bolt it into the vertical
frame (D) with a peg-in unit (O) and secure it.

➤
Bolt in the Spindle strut T6 (N) between the jib (G)
and the Bogie for Forming wagon TS (B) , and
secure it with a spring cotter.

Assembling the jib on an assembly bench
with stop-bars and sleepers makes it easier
to keep the double jib both parallel and the
correct distance apart.
