Chewing is a natural behavior for dogs. As with barking, you must decide
what is acceptable and unacceptable chewing so you can consistently
send the training signals.

Teach your dog that there are things he is allowed to chew (special chew
toys, bones, etc.) and things he should not chew (shoes, socks, garden
hoses, etc.). As soon as your dog begins to chew something that he
shouldn’t, send a training signal.

Dogs chase and engage in aggressive behaviors (such as biting and fighting)
for a variety of reasons that differ from one dog to another.
