W ARNING!
You or others could be injured if you leave the
vehicle unattended with the transfer case in the
Neutral(N)position withoutfirstfully engaging the
parking brake.The transfercase Neutral(N)position
disengages both the frontand rear driveshafts from
the powertrain and will allow the vehicle to move
despite the transmission position. The parking
brake should always be applied when the driver is
notin the vehicle.
CAUTION!
• Do notuse a bumper mounted clamp-on tow bar
on your vehicle. The bumper face bar will be
damaged.
• Do not disconnect the rear driveshaft because
fluid willleak from the transfer case and damage
internalparts.
TRACTION
When driving on wetor slushy roads,itis possible for a
wedge of water to build up between the tire and road
surface.This is known as hydroplaning and may cause
partialor complete loss of vehicle controland stopping
ability.To reduce this possibility,the following prec
tions should be observed:
1. Slow
down during rainstorms or when roads are
slushy.
