Rename the shortcut to i.e.ECA COM1 for
COM1

Right click on the shortcut and select
properties.
In the ‘Target’ window append the “command
line parameter” ‘-COM1’.
This parameter will start the ECA connected to
‘COM 1’
Click OK

Move or copy the new short cuts to the ‘Startup’ folder.
After restarting the PC the ECA application with shortcuts placed in the ‘Startup’ folder will start up
automatically.
No windows logon
For the CUI and the CUA application, it is normally not desirable to have the standard ‘Windows logon’. To
