Right click on the shortcut and select
properties.
In the ‘Target’ window append the “command
line parameter” ‘-COM1’.
This parameter will start the CUI connected to
‘COM 1’
Click OK

If more COM ports are in use, do the same for the other COM ports (-COM2 etc.).

Move or copy the new shortcuts to the ‘Startup’ folder.
After restarting the PC the CUI application with shortcuts placed in the ‘Startup’ folder will start up
automatically.
Automatic start up ECA
It is normally desirable to have the ECA automatically start up when the PC in powered on.
The procedure is as
follows:

Make a Copy of the ECA shortcut on the
desktop
