– AUTOSAMPLER (Optional)
1. OVERVIEW
The Autosampler allows up to 40 samples to be measured automatically. By having the internal
barcode reader option, it allows the automatic identification of samples.
Samples can be taken from a primary tube, primary pediatric tube or sample cups.
There are different applications, although the maximum number of samples is 40, take into
account:
- When using the Normal Wash (recommended), the positions are reduced to 39. The
solution used for Normal Washing is physiological solution and the tube is filled almost
flush.
- If an Intensive Wash is used at the end of the measurement, it is reduced to 38 positions.
- When using Prime I also reduce one position, leaving 37 positions.
- If a Quality Control is performed, depending on whether it runs 1, 2 or 3 levels, the
positions will be reduced to 36, 35 or 34.
- In the case of using the Autosampler to perform only a Quality Control, the 3 positions of
the controls and the Normal Wash will be required.
Be careful with the samples to which you want to measure calcium. The
exposure to the air of the same causes decrease the value of calcium due to
the generation of calcium carbonate.
2. INSTALLATION
1. The autosampler will come in a separate box. Take the sampler out in order to
attach it to the analyzer.
2. Unscrew the needle protector in order to uncover the needle. Use the provided
Allen wrench.
