Fascia Mirror
Mirrors at the top of the fascia help consumers monitor the surroundings while
they use the cash dispenser.
2.1.2
Motorized Card Reader Slot
The motorized card reader is a mechanically operated device. The consumer
inserts an ATM card into the slot. The card reader automatically pulls the card
into the cash dispenser and returns it when the transaction is completed.
2.1.3
Dip Card Reader
The dip card reader is a manually operated device that reads magnetic stripe
cards and memory chip cards. The consumer inserts an ATM card in the card
slot and then removes the card to begin the transaction. The dip card reader
cannot retract, capture, or retain cards.

Secure Card Reader
The secure card reader is a mechanically operated device. The consumer inserts
an ATM card, long edge
fi
rst, into the slot. The card reader automatically pulls
the card into the cash dispenser and returns it when the transaction is completed.

Fingerprint Reader (optional)
The
fi
ngerprint reader is mounted in the bezel of the PIN pad. The consumer
places a
fi
nger on the glowing window and the reader automatically scans the
fi
ngerprint. A red
fl
ash indicates that an image of the
fi
ngerprint has been
captured. The scanned data is encrypted before it is sent over the USB interface.
2.1.6
Enhanced Biometric Fingerprint Reader (optional)
The enhanced biometric
fi
ngerprint reader is mounted on the bezel of the
enhanced encrypting PIN pad and uses active tamper detection. The reader
automatically scans the
fi
ngerprint when the consumer places their
fi
nger on the
window of the reader. The scanned data is hardware encrypted before being
sent to the processor.
2.1.7
Consumer Keypad
During the transaction the cash dispenser prompts the consumer to enter
information on the keypad, which uses an integrated security module and an
encrypting PIN pad to secure information about the transaction.
