ActivPower System
The power switches on the upper control card allow the operator to remove and
restore power to the devices in the whole system.
Removing power from all the modules
To remove power from all of the modules, place the main power switch in the
OFF
(
O
) position. The main power switch is shown in Figure 2-12, View A,
item 5.
Restoring power to all the modules
To restore power to all the modules, place the main power switch in the
ON
(
|
)
position. The main power switch is shown in Figure 2-12, View A, item 5.
When the main power switch is on, the hard drive activity LED (red) and the
processor power LED (green) will light up.
Using the idle power switch
The following conditions occur when the idle power switch is turned off:
• the processor enters sleep mode
• the alarm modules continue working
• power to the other modules can be turned off
To completely remove AC power to the cash dispenser, the
power cord to the cash dispenser must be removed from its
receptacle or the AC power to the cash dispenser must be
removed at the quick disconnect device (such as a circuit
breaker) for the cash dispenser.
The system processor power switch (Figure 2-12) is not for
customer operations. If this switch is used inappropriately,
data could be lost or damaged.
