Transfer dictations between dictation device and PC
You can use the dictation device storage card as a normal removable drive (e.g.
USB stick or memory stick). You can transfer any kind of data to the dictation device
for transportation. Only dictation files with the extension “df“ can be played back on
the dictation device. More information can be found in the section “Playback“.
1. To access the storage card it must be inserted into the dictation device.
Alternatively you can use any appropriate storage card reader.
2. Connect the dictation device to the PC.
3. Use the Windows Explorer to find the drive letter that is mapped to the
storage card (removable disk). The dictations may be found in the directories
[A] and [B].
4. Use the Windows explorer to transfer the dictations between the dictation
device and the PC, either by drag and drop, or copy and paste.
Automatic Import to DictaNet Workflow
The dictation device is recognized automatically as an import device by DictaNet
software. Dictations may be extended or played back at the PC.
1. When the device is recognized, dictations may be imported. Only the
dictations from the currently active directory, [A] or [B], are displayed for the
import. You can choose each directory manually for import.
2. Optionally the import can start automatically directly after the device has been
connected to the PC. Choose the option “Automatic download from external
devices“ in the Import window. Additionally the dictations may be forwarded
by e-mail (option “Send to e-mail“). For the automatic import only the
currently active directory [A] or [B] is considered.
