Troubleshooting the CC150XL-EE6 Series
Symptom
Problem
Solution
1. Electric motor will not
start.
Not connected to power
source?
Connect to power source.
Starter switch in OFF
position?
Move switch to ON position.
2. Gas engine will not
start.
Fuel vale OFF?
Move fuel valve to ON position.
Engine switch OFF?
Move engine switch to ON position.
Choke open?
Close choke.
Out of fuel?
Refuel.
Bad fuel?
Drain fuel tank and carburetor. Refill
with fresh fuel
Faulty spark plug?
Gap or replace spark plug.
Low oil level?
Fill with recommended oil to proper
level.
3. Gas engine lacks
power.
Air filter element restricted? Clean or replace air filter element.
4. Saw will not lower.
Handlebar lever out?
Push lever in to lower saw.
5. Saw will not lower
completely.
Blade misaligned?
Adjust skid plates to align blade.
6. Blade does not cut
straight.
Excessive force used when
sawing?
Reduce forward speed. DO NOT twist
blade from side to side.
Wrong blade?
Contact dealer/manufacturer of blade.
Loose or worn wheels?
Check that all wheels roll freely and
replace as required.
7. Short belt life.
Loose belts causing
slippage?
Check and adjust belt tension.
Sheaves misaligned?
Use straightedge to check blade shaft
sheave alignment. Adjust as
necessary.
Worn sheave grooves?
Check for groove wear and replace
sheaves when necessary.
Overheating of belts?
Check and adjust belt tension.
