To adjust the PG7601 internal Piranni gauge proceed as follows:
Put the ADCS-601 into absolute measurement using the
[Measurement Mode]
button on the
ADCS
Run Screen Toolbar
(see Section 4.3.5.3). Wait for the measurement mode change to complete.
Press
[Maintenance]
on the
ADCS Tools Main Menu
and select
[Run PG Internal Vac Adjust]
.
The adjustment completes automatically in a few seconds.

PG7601/FPG8601, ADJUST PPC3 PRESSURE CONTROLLERS
The PPC3 pressure controllers that control pressure for the PG7601 and the FPG8601 pressure standard
systems have internal pressure transducers. The drfit over time of the pressure transducers may cause
them to disagree excessively with the PG7601 or FPG8601 which reduces the efficiency of the pressure
control routines.
ADCS Tools
supports automated adjustment of the PPC3 pressure transducers.
There are three PPC3 pressure transducers: an A700K (700 kPa absolute full scale), an A116K (116 kPa
absolute full scale) and a BG15K (15 kPa gauge full scale).
To adjust the PPC3 A700K or A116K transducer:
Put the ADCS-601 into absolute measurement mode using the
[Measurement Mode]
button on the
ADCS Run Screen Toolbar
. Wait for the measurement mode change to complete.
Press
[Maintenance]
on the
ADCS Tools Main Menu
and select
[Run PG-PPC3 Adjust]
or
[Run
FPG-PPC3 Adjust]
.
View the
[PPC Adjustment Setup]
form. This form is identical to the
[FPG Validation Setup]
form
(see Section 7.2.3.2). Edit if desired. Recommended (default) values are the same as FPG
validation but the recommended pressure points are:
For the A116K transducer of the FPG PPC3: 1, 7, 11, 15 kPa or their equivalent.
For the A700K transducer of the PG PPC3: 20, 150, 250, 375 kPa or their equivalent.
To adjust the PPC3 BG15K:
Put the ADCS-601 into gauge measurement mode using the
[Measurement Mode]
button on the
ADCS Run Screen Toolbar
. Wait for the measurement mode change to complete.
Press
[Maintenance]
on the
ADCS Tools Main Menu
and select
[Run FPG-PPC3 Adjust]
.
View the
[PPC Adjustment Setup]
form. This form is identical to the
[FPG Validation Setup]
form
(see Section 7.2.3.2). Edit if desired. Recommended (default) values are the same as FPG
validation but the recommended pressure points are 1, 7, 11, 15 kPa or their equivalent.
The PPC3 adjustment routine will cause the ADCS-601 to set pressures. The set pressures will be
applied to the TEST(+) port. Before running the adjustment routine, be sure any device connected to
the TEST(+) port that will not be able to handle a pressure in the ADCS-601 range. If nothing is
connected to the TEST(+) port is should be plugged with the plug provided.
The RPM4 A116K internal transducer is adjusted in the FPG8601 validation (see Section 7.2.3.2).
