Crossover
starts
Crossover start schematic
If the crossover start battery is
from another vehicle, bring the two
cars closer together to connect the two
batteries.
1. Pull up the parking brake lever or
press and release the parking brake.
2. Position the gear in the "N" (neutral)
position.
3. Turn off all unnecessary circuitry
(eg dome light, hazard warning lamp,
etc.).
4. Verify that the engine ignition
switch is in the closed position.
5. Remove the battery cover (if
equipped).
6. Remove the vent cover from the
battery (if equipped), cover the battery
with a damp cloth, etc., to prevent the
fire from exploding.
7. Connect the electrodes as shown in
the figure (

● Make sure that the jumper cable is
not touching the moving parts.
● Make sure that the jumper cable is
not in contact with other metal parts.
1. Start the auxiliary vehicle engine
and run for a few minutes.
2. Depress the accelerator pedal of the

rpm.
