7.2 ELECTROACUPUNCTURE EFFECT MODE

Electroacupuncture effect is really for the experienced specialist that is familiar with

acupuncture and the Voll acupoints. These are the points where treatment is conducted using the
Probe – there is also a small probe provided for this type of work in the Professional.

In Electroacupuncture effect we have to connect both, the positive and the negative electrode.

The ACTIVE connector is the POSITIVE (+ve) and the PASSIVE connector is the NEGATIVE (-ve).

To set up the Professional for Electroacupuncture, do the following:

1. Connect the first Hand electrode on the ACTIVE connector (+ve) and the second Hand

electrode on the PASSIVE connector (-ve). One can also use the MEASURE PROBE (Fig. 5) in the
PROBE connector as the –ve.

2. Set the INTENSITY knob to MIN position. This is important; as if the INTENSITY is on high and

the visitor picks up the hand electrodes they will be given a sudden shock which is harmless but
unpleasant!

3. Press THERAPY on the «THERAPY» unit (Diagram 18)
4. Set the FREQUENCY using the ROUGHLY and PRECISELY knobs. You will see the frequency

in hertz on the screen «THERAPY FREQUENCY».

5. Set to MANUAL mode.
6. Set the polarity of the pulses with «FORM IMPULSE» and «POLARITY» buttons. With the

FORM IMPULSE we can choose the form of the wave we want to use. If we need to ADD energy or
«Qi» to the acupuncture meridians, as in cases of DEGENERATION – we use the –ve polarity button

– button UP. We can then set the POLARITY in this mode – if we have an acute inflammation,

then the button is DOWN. In the UP position energy will be given to the acupoint for cases of
degenerative processes.

7. For inflammation we need to use the +ve polarity or button DOWN.

8. When the button is DOWN on the Sinusidal wave, we use this setting when there is no

degenerative process but the problem is more functional. See Diagram 18 for a summary of
settings.

7.3 ELECTROMAGNETIC EFFECT MODE

The Electromagnetic Effect mode uses the Antenna on the body to allow electromagnetic

waves to penetrate different organ systems.

There are two ways of setting up the DeVita Professional for Electromagnetic effect – one is

in AUTO MODE where the device will set itself to wobble between 0.1 – 99,99 Hz and back again
AUTOMATICALLY – the only thing that can be changed here is only the wobble speed.

The other mode is the MANUAL MODE where one can either set the FIXED frequency and the

device will run only at this frequency MANUAL MODE, or one can set a range of frequencies and
wobble between them (MANUAL MODE WITH SWING).

Let us examine how to set up all these three modes:

Auto mode

1. Set the «THERAPY/DIAGNOSTICS» switch to the «THERAPY» position (Fig. 6).
2. Connect the Antenna to the «ANTENNA» socket on the back of the device (Fig. 3, number 4).
3. Set the «MANUAL» mode of the device with the «AUTO/MANUAL» key set to the «AUTO»

mode: this corresponds to the automatic adjustment of the frequency range from 0.1 to 99,99 Hz.

4. Set the «RANGE» knob to MIN
5. One can change the wobble speed with the «SPEED» knob – for children about ¼ turn and

adults ½ turn - SPEED – for children this should be set to 1 minute and adults 3 minutes.

6. The red LED will flash according to the rate of pulse repetition. The «THERAPY FREQUENCY»

LCD display shows the exposure frequency.

These instructions are summarized in Diagram 19 below.
