4. Follow the instructions in “Closing the computer” on page 45 to close the
computer.
Memory
This DeskBook B165 computer comes with two PC2100 266MHz/PC2700
333MHz DDR sockets that accept 128/256/512 MB modules. Please consult your
dealer if you need to add more memory.
Note : Install the memory module first on the lower socket when installing a
memory module to 2 empty sockets.
Installing memory
Follow these steps to install additional memory:
1. Follow the instructions in “Opening the computer” on page 44.
2. Locate an empty memory socket and align the key of the memory module to
the socket; insert the memory module diagonally into the slot (1), then gently
press down until it clicks into place (2).
3. Follow the instruction in “Closing the computer” on page 45 to close the
computer.
The computer automatically detects and reconfigures the total memory size.
