(2) Adjustment during operation
S et the tachom eter and frequency m eter to the rated by the throttle handle.
S et the voltm eter to the rated by the voltage regulator.
(3) M otor - driven Fan
This machine uses an electrical - motor fan to cool the radietor.
Please check if there would be any abnormal condition in speed, sound, or
vibration while the motor is running.
The fan does not operate at th e time of
starting and idling at low speed as the generator output is the power source for the
motor fan.
The motor fan will start to run when output voltage is built up and the
pilot lamp is turned on.
Then it will keep on running even if engine speed drops,
once the generator voltage is built up.
[Note]
The w ater temperature would rise abnomally when engine idles for a long time just
after starting or re-starting.
If a long-time idling is required, raise the engine speed
once until th e generatior starts generating, and make sure the motor fan is running.
In the case of overcurrent or shortcircuit accident with the motor fan, the power
source is disconnected by the protective devices shown below.
25USTUSI2 & 45USI2 : Fuse ‘
Where the fuse for the motor fan is burnt out in the control box. correct the cause
and fit a new fuse, and make sure that the fen is running normally.
45USI & 60USH : Circuit Protector
Where the circuit protector for the motor fan is turned "OFF" in the control box,
correct the cause and turn it "ON" and make sure that th e fen is running normally.
