Residual risks
Even if properly operating and handling
this electric tool, some residual risks will
remain. Due to its construction and build,
this electric tool may present the following
hazards:
- Crushing injuries
Warning! During operation, this
electric tool generates an electro-
magnetic field which, under certain
circumstances, may impair the
functionality of active or passive
medical implants. To reduce the
risk of serious or lethal injuries,
we recommend that persons with
medical implants consult their doc-
tor and the manufacturer of their
medical implant before operating
the machine.
Initial start-up
Removing/inserting the
rechargeable battery
Only insert the battery once the
battery-operated tool is fully
ready for use.
1. To remove the battery (12) from the
device, press the release button (15)
on the battery and pull the battery (12)
out.
2. To insert the battery (12), push the
battery (12) along the guide rail into
the device. You will hear it click into
place.
Checking the battery
charge level
The battery’s (12) charge level is indicated
by the charge state indicator (14).
• The charge level of the battery is
indicated by illumination of the corre-
sponding LED light. To see this, press
the soft button (13) on the battery
charge level indicator (14).
4 lights means battery is fully charged.
1 light means that the battery needs to be
charged.
Recharging the battery
Observe the safety information
and notes on charging and prop-
er use as shown in the instruc-
tion manual for your battery and
charger. A detailed description of
the charging process and further
information can be found in the
separate operating instructions.
Allow a hot battery to cool before
charging.
Charge the battery (12) when only
one LED on the charge level indica-
tor (14) is illuminated.
1. Remove the battery (12) from the ap-
pliance, as necessary (see „Removing/
inserting the battery“).
2. Insert the battery (12) in the charging
compartment of the battery charg-
er (16).
3. Plug the battery charger (16) into a
mains outlet.
4. Once charging is complete, disconnect
the charger (16) from the mains supply.
