Note : Intel FC-PGA Coppermine Thermal Solution:
!
Thermal Management requirements:
!
To monitor die temperature as accurately as possible.
!
To keep the chip’s temperature belows specification.
!
Throttling too early will hurt performane.
!
Overheating will hurt long-term reliabilily.
!
Meet the Thermal Requirements:
!
Typically grease perform better than tapes and pads but similar to
phase changes materials.
!
Enough and suitable normal pressure force(Clip).
!
High fin density and high conductivity base(Such as Copper Material,
Folded Fins, Forge Fins, etc.)
!
Larger diameter fan and higher air flow.
!
In order to achieve higher performance and stability, we strongly
recommend you to purchase Intel’s box package Coppermine
processors for your system.
Step3:
Install the SDRAM Modules
!
The motherboard has two DIMM (Dual In-line Memory Module) sockets which
support SDRAM modules installed with 3.3V, unbuffered, PC-100 (100MHz)
SDRAM memory chips. Each memory module can support a maximum capacity
of 256MB so total maximum memory is 512MB.
!
Follow the steps mentioned below to install the SDRAM module :
!
On the motherboard, locate DIMM sockets.
!
Pull the locking latches of the DIMM sockets outwards.
!
Align the memory module correctly. The edge connector of the memory module
has notches that match obstructions in the DIMM socket. You must match the
notches with the obstructions in order to install the module.
!
Press the edge connector of the memory module into the DIMM socket. Press
down quite firmly so that the locking latches of the DIMM socket are levered
upwards to secure the memory module in place.
!
Repeat the process with any other memory modules that you want to install.
