Refilling in the field (SWT4R only)

SWT4R

Tensiometers can be refilled with the 50 ml syringe (supplied)

through the stainless steel tubes without removing them from the soil. If
the refilling tubes have a total length of 5 meters or more use the hand-
operated vacuum pump

– see section 4.1.4.

With this method a range of at least -80 kPa can be measured.
